Soda-lime Double Side ITO Conductive Glass with Low Ohm

Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) coated glass is an essential transparent conductive material that combines high optical transparency (typically 85-96%) with excellent electrical conductivity. It serves as a fundamental component in liquid crystal displays (LCDs), touch panels, organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), and thin-film solar cells.

The selection of substrate material is critical for different applications. Soda-lime glass is the most common and cost-effective choice, widely used for general electronics and architectural purposes. Borosilicate glass offers superior thermal shock resistance and chemical durability, making it suitable for high-temperature thin-film deposition processes. Quartz glass provides exceptional UV transparency and ultra-low thermal expansion, ideal for specialized optical applications and high-precision photomasks. For extreme durability requirements, such as in aerospace or high-end watch displays, sapphire glass is employed, offering remarkable hardness and scratch resistance, though at a significantly higher cost.

To create functional circuits, laser etching is the preferred patterning method. This process utilizes a focused laser beam to selectively remove the ITO film along predetermined paths, creating precise insulating lines or intricate electrode patterns. The laser’s energy is carefully calibrated to ablate only the conductive layer while leaving the underlying substrate completely intact. This dry, non-contact technique delivers high resolution with clean, burr-free edges and eliminates the need for chemical etchants, making it indispensable for manufacturing modern high-resolution displays and touch sensors.
